Ely Reel Co was established in 1986 by our founder, Marvin Weaver. His purpose was to address the needs of North American plastic tubing manufacturers for storage reels used to inventory flexible plastic tubing.
Today, from our manufacturing facility in Apple Creek, Ohio we supply our customers in various industries with the wooden reels they need to store and transport their products. We specialize in Nailed Wood Reels and offer them both fully assembled or as reel kits.

All our reels are made with 100% American grown Southern Yellow Pine lumber that is responsibly harvested across the South and Mid- Atlantic regions of the USA. SYP is an eco friendly species with a negative carbon footprint. These pine trees are a fast-growing species, meaning they can be harvested and replaced quickly compared to other lumber options. This ensures a steady supply of the material without depleting natural resources.

Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) is the most sustainably renewed tree in the world. SYP trees are a fast growing, CO2 absorbing species and more trees are planted every year than are harvested.
